Refund policy:
Standard
If you buy a ticket and later find that you can’t attend, we will refund you, but we will deduct £5 for administration. BUT if you make the request for a refund less than six weeks before the larp, then we will only refund you if we can find someone else to take up the ticket — and if we have to offer it at a discount, then your refund will be reduced accordingly.
Coronavirus related (travel, shielding etc.)
We will refund in full anyone who needs to cancel for coronavirus reasons up to two weeks before the start of the larp, which should hopefully give you enough time to make a risk assessment about whether you can attend. After that we will try to refund you as much as we can, but we may have to offer a discount ticket for someone to attend at the last minute. We will keep you updated about the situation in the UK and if we have to cancel all participants will be offered a full refund.
Flagging policy:
Sadly, our hobby has sometimes shown that it contains people who are not safe to be around. We as organisers need your help here – we don’t know the names of everyone who is a concern in this way. We also want to make sure that you feel comfortable with the people who are around you during the event.
We will circulate the names of prospective attenders to you, and you can if you wish raise the following flags:

Sadly, our hobby has sometimes shown that it contains people who are not safe to be around. We as organisers need your help here – we don’t know the names of everyone who is a concern in this way. We also want to make sure that you feel comfortable with the people who are around you during the event.
We will circulate the names of prospective attenders to you, and you can if you wish raise the following flags:
- Yellow flag – I don’t want to be given a close relationship with this person. This is for allocation purposes only, and won’t affect yours or the other person’s chance in the lottery. Chose this if you don’t believe that the person is unsafe, but for personal reasons you are unable to play closely with them. However, please be aware that as The Discovery of Witches is a small larp you are unlikely to be able to avoid them entirely.
- Orange flag – I'm unable to attend if this person is participating. Choose this if you don’t believe that that person is unsafe, but for personal reasons you are unable to attend an event that they’re at. In this case, whichever of your or their names is allocated a ticket first will be prioritized.
- Red flag – I believe that this person is unsafe to larp with. Examples of this might be bullying, harassment, or abuse. You don’t have to give a reason for red-flagging a name. Someone who has been red-flagged will not be allowed to attend The Discovery of Witches. We will not tell them who red-flagged them, or why.
